Scottish Storytelling Festival: Once Upon a Story
I was honoured to take part in the Fairy tale Conference, held on the final weekend of the festival. What was and is the purpose and value of fairy tales? Are they above all entertainment? We heard about storytelling research and practice which is being developed in Russia, Germany, Ireland and of course here in the UK. And no gossamer wings in sight!
